Steve Lantz – Miami PCA Church Plant

WHY MIAMI?

The Shenandoah Vision

Nearly 100 years ago, Preacher Dan Iverson saw Miami as a field that was ripe for harvest. Armed with the gospel, he planted Shenandoah Presbyterian Church.

Today, the same is true. Miami has over 450,000 residents and less than 20% identify as protestant Christians.

Did you know that there are no PCA churches in the City of Miami?

Sadly, the need has returned. Thankfully, so has the vision.

MEET STEVE & LYNDA LANTZ

Steve spent his early childhood in Ohio but has called Miami home for the past 43 years. In 2009, after graduating from LAMP Seminary and completing the PCA Church Planter Assessment, he received a call to minister in Miami. Steve is currently working as an actor and chaplain for the football team at historic Booker T. Washington Senior High School, in Overtown.  He now has a call from the South Florida Presbytery to plant a church in downtown Miami, building on the years he has worked as a chaplain.

He and Lynda were married in 2010, and they have a son, David (10) and a daughter, Vivian (6).

Lynda is excited to serve alongside Steve in the work of the church plant. She has years of ministry experience having worked on staff with Cru at George Mason University, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and Johnson & Wales University in North Miami. She’s currently the managing editor for Miami Mom Collective, a local parenting resource, and also serves as a children’s leader with Bible Study Fellowship.
