Seven Hills Presbyterian Church, Somerville, MA

THE OWENS FAMILY
Pastor Matt Owens has around twelve years of experience serving in church plants, first in Ireland, then at Cahaba Park Church in Birmingham, AL (while attending Beeson Divinity School), then in two different church plants in greater Boston. Prior to serving in ministry, Matt worked for over three years in business in his native Illinois, then in Nashville. He was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in October of 2014. He and his wife Naomi have been married since July of 2015.
Naomi is originally from near London, England, and grew up mostly in Connecticut. In early college, she gave her life to Christ, then served as an intern at Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel, CT. She moved to Somerville, MA in 2010, and since then has taught children at Park Street School, a Christian school in Boston’s Beacon Hill neighborhood.
The Owens children are Liam (born July 2017), Luke (February 2021) and an expected baby girl in October of 2022.
SEVEN HILLS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
When Matt first arrived in metro Boston, he served as the Assistant Pastor of Seven Hills (then called Christ the King Somerville). After planting Christ the Redeemer church in Quincy in the midst of the pandemic, Matt was called back to Seven Hills to be the Senior Pastor, bringing a number of members from Christ the Redeemer with him in the summer of 2022.
The mission of Seven Hills Presbyterian Church is to see our lives, our neighbors, and our city transformed by the true story of God’s amazing grace. Find out more on the Seven Hills website.
Please contact Pastor Matt (mattowens@sevenhillschurch.org) with questions or to find out how you can help and/or pray for Seven Hills.
