Richard Sutton is passionate about building meaningful relationships at the nexus of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its transformational impact on the lives of people in the State of Mississippi.
With an educational background that includes a Political Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Mississippi State University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law, his path has been marked by a commitment to service and leadership.
After years of experience in banking, finance, and education, Richard felt called to deepen his theological understanding leading him to pursue studies at Reformed Theological Seminary. While attending RTS, he interned in youth and adult ministry at Brandon Presbyterian Church. This further prepared him for this current ministry role.
Richard currently serves as a Ruling Elder at Lakeland Presbyterian Church in Flowood, Mississippi. In 2024, he accepted a call to serve with Ministry to State as Ministry Associate.
Richard and his wife Jane, live in Brandon, Mississippi. Their two sons, their daughters-in-law, and their four cherished grandchildren also reside in Mississippi. Justin and his family live in Biloxi. Joshua and his family live in Brandon.
