Jillian and I (Andrew) are both from the Seattle area, and we are excited and grateful to be serving in an area that we love dearly, as we pursue God’s kingdom mission and make disciples through church planting! Starting in Summer 2020, I will be serving for two years as an Assistant Pastor and Church Planting Resident at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Issaquah, Washington. This Residency will provide an important opportunity for me to learn through serving in full-time pastoral ministry in the local church. Over these two years, we will also explore and discern where the Lord is calling us to plant a church and begin pursuing this work. Through partnering with Covenant Pres, the Northwest Church Planting Network, and you, we hope to plant a Bible-believing, gospel-centered church that plants more churches in Washington state! We feel called by God to do this so that, by God’s grace, more and more people come to know the hope of the gospel of Jesus and live faithfully as his people for his kingdom.
In recent decades, the Northwest Church Planting Network and the Pacific Northwest Presbytery (PCA) have worked to plant gospel-centered, Bible-believing churches. The aim of the Network is to “re-parish” the Northwest with more and more churches that preach the gospel and love their neighbors. Even with the unstable nature that COVID-19 has created, God’s kingdom mission continues and the good news that he gives us in his Word still goes out – as it is the only lasting good news we have!
We are looking for people drawn to this vision who want to partner with us in this work through prayer and financial support for the next five years. We aim to cultivate a strong support team going into the church plant, so we are currently fundraising a portion of my salary and church planting related expenses, and are also laying the financial seeds for this church plant. Thank you for supporting this ministry through MNA as we seek to strengthen the church to serve, grow, and multiply! Your generosity, faithfulness, and prayers make this work possible. Thank you for your support!
