MNA Refugee Childrens Ministry Specialist – Sarah
During a local, summer mission trip with her church in 2009, Sarah worked with many refugee children. A few years later she moved across town to continue this work by living on the edge of a low-income neighborhood, a neighborhood less than a mile from her church.
Since then, she has run a Bible club program in her community and helped to start other clubs. She connects the children to the church by bringing many to VBS and Sunday morning programs.
Sarah also began serving at her church’s ESL program by helping with the children and later started teaching adults. She earned her certification to teach ESL in 2020, and values this opportunity to care for and share God’s Word with many adults. Some of these adults are parents of the children she knows.
Sarah would be happy to be a resource to help your church to help develop connections with refugee and immigrant children in your community.
Thank you for your support! May God bless you abundantly!
