MNA Metanoia Prison Ministries, Regional Director, Central CA, Tim McCracken

With over 18,000 long-term incarcerated souls and more than 20 separate chapel ministry opportunities with an hour and 15 minutes’ drive, Fresno, CA is a perfect hub for mission to the State Prisons (and one Federal Prison) in the San Joaquin Valley.

Before the Covid-19 crisis shut out volunteers, Metanoia had a weekly teaching presence in nine Bible Study groups at four facilities (SATF, COR, PVSP & VSP).  When things open up again, the tenth will begin.  At present, weekly devotional and Bible Study mailing go out to all who have been regularly involved, plus all recent visitors – about one hundred ten believers.

After nearly 12 years of volunteer involvement, while serving as a pastor in Fresno, in the Spring of 2017 I was granted the privilege of full-time work through Metanoia.   I wish, therefore, to be a servant to area and regional churches with all things related to prison ministry.
