MNA Metanoia Prison Ministries led by Mark Casson

Metanoia Prison Ministries serves to to engage, educate, and equip the Church for the discipleship, mentoring, and reintegration of prisoners. Having been rescued by our gracious God while in prison myself, it has been an honor and joy to be called to this ministry of mercy to the prisoner over this last many years. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it would not be possible without, first, the faithfulness and grace of our Almighty God and, second, his work in and through his Church partnering with us both financially and in the work itself. Donations to this link will go toward supporting Mark Casson as well as the following work:

  • Discipleship: Our discipleship through correspondence ministry consists of one-on-one partnerships between local church members and inmates who desire to grow in their knowledge and love of Christ. After enrolling in our curriculum, inmates are matched up with Christians on the outside who commit to walking alongside them in their discipleship journey. As inmates complete our coursework, their correspondence partners aid their growth by grading their lessons and offering encouragement.
  • Mentoring: At Metanoia, we intentionally steer away from large group teaching in a “content-on-life” manner. We focus on personal, one-on-one, life-on-life mentoring in order that our incarcerated brothers and sisters in Christ may be guided and trained up in the gospel by another believer committed to knowing, loving, teaching, and serving as a Christ-like presence toward them.
  • Reintegration: At Metanoia, we believe one of the most foundational principles of a successful relationship with returning citizens (the formerly incarcerated) is to both acknowledge and keep in view the sameness we share as we together walk in our redemption. While the circumstances of past sin and incarceration bring specific challenges to sanctification, if we believe that the blood of Christ cleanses us from all unrighteousness, then this includes felonious unrighteousness.

Please do not forget to remain in prayer alongside us that the Spirit would continue to work in and through our ministry! God bless.
