Josh Kines is a graduate of William Carey University (B.A. Biblical Studies) and of Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div. w/ emphasis in counseling). He married Emily Howton in 2001 and they have 6 kids: Anne Elise (’05), Ava (’07), Jak (’09), Matthew (’11), Carter (’13), and Grant (’15). Josh has been involved in starting new churches from the very beginning of his ministry. He has had the privilege of being involved in starting new churches in Nashville, TN, Madison, MS, Bogota, Colombia, and Arequipa, Peru. He has a passion to know God and to make Him known wherever the need for Bible-loving, Christ-exalting churches exists. The Kines family moved to Lafayette in June 2015 to plant churches throughout the Acadiana region. It was their love for the South, the uniqueness of Cajun culture, and a love for the Lafayette trinity (food, family, and festival), that drew them to the region, and their love for the city has only grown since arriving. After meeting with a small core group of families for a little more than a year, Parish Church opened its doors for its first public worship service on Sunday, August 3rd, 2016 and the Lord has been graciously growing this fellowship ever since. Though the church has grown, Lafayette has experienced an extensive economic pullback in its oil-dependent economy. The need for continued support through prayer and financial gifts remains as Parish Church navigates these troubled times around. Please consider supporting the Kines family as they plant Parish Church and raise up a new generation of leaders to plant churches throughout the Acadiana region.
Gifts can be sent via check or money order made payable to MNA. Ministry or church plant names should be clearly designated with a note accompanying the check or money order.
