Western Reserve Presbyterian Church (Ohio)

Western Reserve Presbyterian Church is a new church plant sent by Redeemer Church (PCA) in Northeast Ohio and pastored by Jason Piland.  Our aim is to launch corporate worship in the first quarter of 2026.

Northeast Ohio is marked by engaged and friendly communities.  However, this region needs the gospel.  Western Reserve intends to target the area of North Summit County, Ohio, where only 6% of the population identifies as evangelical Christians.  The growth of the ministry of Redeemer Church in recent years shows that the area is ripe for more faithful churches, so Redeemer is sending out a core group to plant this new work.

Thanks to the generosity of Redeemer Church, anticipated internal giving, and early partners, a significant portion of our budget for the first three years is already in place.  To complete our financial plan, we are seeking to raise an additional $300,000 over three years.  Your partnership with WRPC makes this plant possible.

Rev. Jason Piland began serving Redeemer Church in June 2019 before being sent to plant WRPC in 2025.  He received his Bachelor’s (2011) and J.D. degrees (2014) from Belmont University (Nashville), and his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte) in 2019.  He serves The Ohio Presbytery and the General Assembly in various capacities, and his heart is for the care of God’s people at the local church.  He married Erika in 2012, and they have four children.

You can learn more about WRPC on our website, and you can reach out to Pastor Piland (jason@wrpres.com) with any questions.
